Frequently asked questions
What is the bankruptcy assessment?
A free comparison of your realistic outcomes under debt settlement, Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy, and doing nothing — based on your debts, income and state. It takes about 10 minutes, involves no credit pull, and carries no obligation.
Will you try to talk me out of bankruptcy?
No. If your numbers say bankruptcy leaves you better off — and for some people it clearly does — the assessment says exactly that, and we'll tell you to talk to a bankruptcy attorney. We are not a law firm and we don't file bankruptcies, so we have nothing to sell you in that case.
What happens after the assessment?
You get a written summary of the comparison. If settlement is the better fit and you qualify — at least $7,500 in unsecured debt, in a state we serve — you can enrol in Debt Relief. If not, you keep the summary and owe nothing.
